About this speaker

I began my career in Occupational Health and Safety at an electroplating manufacturing facility where I worked for 10 years until I joined the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) as an Industrial Health and Safety Inspector. My primary duties involved enforcing Occupational Health and Safety laws in Ontario. I conducted countless inspections, and investigations of complaints, incidents, critical injuries and fatalities. For the last few years, I've been in the role of Regional Program Coordinator where I am involved in providing guidance to inspectors in the field and management on internal policies and procedures to ensure a consistent enforcement approach with our stakeholders.
